I have wagered on countless of hands of chemin de fer. I began sneaking into the gambling dens when I was sixteen. I have gambled on online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. With all that said I have still spent a lot of cash at 21. The gambling halls have made it almost impossible to beat the house.
I still enjoy the game and play on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get flush with this tactic or defeat the house, still you will have a lot of fun. This method is based on the fact that blackjack seems to be a match of runs. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you are not you are NOT!
I play basic strategy chemin de fer. When I lose I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I wager the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I lower the action back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets very fun at times. If you win a few hands in series your bets go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Venetian a couple of years back with $750 after 60 mins using this tactic! And a couple of weeks ago in Atlantic City I left a table with $1200!
You must comprehend that you can give up a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be astonished at the runs you notice wagering this way. Here is a guide of what you would bet if you continue winning at a five dollar game.
Wager $5
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet
Wager 5 dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Bet 10 dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 10 dollar bet
Bet $10
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Bet $20
Take $20 paid to you, leave the first twenty dollar bet
Bet twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $40
Wager $40
Take $40 paid to you, leave the original forty dollar bet
Bet forty dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $80
Wager eighty dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the first 80 dollar wager
Bet $80
Leave $80 paid to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Bet 160 dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the original $160 wager
If you left at this moment you would be up 315 dollar !!
It is herculean to go on a streak this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and lower your bet or the end result won’t be the same.
