I have played millions of hands of 21. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was 16. I have bet on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still spent a lot of bankroll at 21. The casinos have made it nearly impossible to beat the house.
I still like the game and play on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have played a variation of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this method or beat the house, still you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the idea that 21 seems to be a game of streaks. When you are hot your hot, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy twenty-one. When I do not win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I don’t win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. Whenever I hit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the wager back down to the original value.
I am very strict and do not back out. It gets very thrilling on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quick. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had great streaks a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the MGM a few years ago with $750 after 35 minutes using this technique! And a few weeks ago in Atlantic City I left a game with $1200!
You need to comprehend that you can lose much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the runs you notice playing this way. Below is a guide of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar table.
Bet five dollar
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the original 5 dollar wager
Wager five dollar
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 10 dollar
Bet ten dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the first ten dollar wager
Wager ten dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of twenty dollar
Bet 20 dollar
Take $20 paid to you, leave the first $20 wager
Bet 20 dollar
Leave $20 paid-out to you for a total bet of forty dollar
Bet forty dollar
Take $40 paid to you, leave the original 40 dollar bet
Bet 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid to you for a total bet of 80 dollar
Bet eighty dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the initial eighty dollar bet
Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $160
Bet $160
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 160 dollar bet
If you departed at this point you would be up $315 !!
It is iffy to go on a streak this long, but it often happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and drop your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
